For our first normal Christmas in two years, many Melbournian families will be keen to take advantage of a warm December evening to go for a drive and scout out grand displays of fairy lights and blow-up reindeer.

But as much fun as it is to surprise yourself with a hidden gem, truly dazzling displays can be hard to seek out. That probably means you should have at least a couple of destinations in mind to ensure your tour isn’t a complete disappointment.
